PAINT-A-DECK-GET-A-DECK
ELEMENTAL AWARENESS EVENT

Dezember 29th, 2007 by admin
» » » » » » » » » »

Elemental Awareness held the 5th annual Paint-A-Deck-Get-A-Deck event in South Central Los Angeles this past week at the Salvation Army Community Center. Element family including artists Todd Francis, Brooke Reidt and Mike Kershnar along with team riders Chad tim Tim and Tosh Townend were on hand to pass out blank decks that kids then painted on. The kids completed their works with the help of the Element folks and then had a great board that they could ride, give for a holiday gift, or hang on their wall. Some of the best efforts were also rewarded with boards, hats and more. Elemental Awareness thanks PSStix for donating the blanks, all the Element family that came out, and PJ & Andre at the community center for making this another great event. Element artists Mataji Booker and Brooke Reidt helped people bring out their creative side recently at the Active Ladies Night in Long Beach. Garett Awad from Toms Shoes brought white pairs for everyone to paint, making each one specially customized. Mataji, Brooke and artist Erik Benjamins created designs for a few who felt they should leave the artwork to the artists and every pair of shoes purchased is matched by Toms with a donation of a pair to a child in need.

Active went all out with snacks and refreshments while people shopped and painted. Thanks to Active and Toms for putting on an amazing night!
